It's late in the evening; Schneider wonders what pants to wear.
He puts on some makeup and curls his soft, brown hair.
And then he asks me, "Paul, do I look all right?"
And I say, "Ja, you look wunderbar tonight."

Record release party, everyone turns to see
This beautiful German that's walking around with me
And then he asks me, "Paul, do you feel all right?"

It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
I give Schneider the car keys, somehow end up in his bed.
And then I tell him, as he turns out the light
